Between 7.40am and 8am Transfer from the hotel to the port and by motor boat we take you to one of the legendary Uros Islands where you can observe the lives of the Uros people who live on floating reed islands, some only 20 meters in length. After a beautiful 3hr boat ride we reach Amantani island where we will break into smaller groups to stay with the local families. You have the opportunity to trek to the top of the mountain (4150 mtrs) to see the Temples of the Pachamama and Pachatata and enjoy the traditional customs of the island people. Food and authentic music prepared and performed by your designated family.

After breakfast we take a short boat ride to the neighboring Taquile island, where we will tour around the ruins and visit these beautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, After lunch we take the return trip to Puno. Arrival in the afternoon and transfer back to your hotel approx 5-6 pm. End of service.

At 08:00 a.m. Pick you up at your Hotel and departure from Arequipa (2325 m.a.s.l) towards north west direction behind snow-covered Chachani; We see wild vicuñas, alpacas & llamas in Pampa Cañahuas national reserve, some birds like flamingoes, ibis, andean gooze, ducks, andean eagle “Kara Kara” view point of the Volcanoes and snow covered mountains in Patapampa (4,800 m.a.s.). Arrive in Chivay (3600 m.a.s.), capital of the valley. Afternoon optional visit to the thermal springs & pools in La Calera 40ºC.

(Admission to the pools not included, about $ 6 per person).

Note: The optional vist to La Calera Hot Springs is for passangers staying at Chivay only.

Early morning after breakfast (06:00) leave for a full day excursion in the left shore, beautiful tipical towns, like Yanque & Maca, colonial churches, gently people with tipical needlework dresses, hundreds of pre inca terraces still in use with andean growings Like corn, quinoa, kiwicha among others. After a 2 hrs drinving we get the most visited point “the cross of the condor” here we are able to see the depth of the canyon and the flight of the Condor. After lunch return to Arequipa. (17:00 hrs approx in Arequipa).
